Following a technical consultation, it is possible to request a possible appraisal report. Generally, this is requested for a piece of jewelry or a gem that has never been appraised before, and of which the owners or recipients (heirs, assignees, etc.) intend – or have the need – to know the value. It may also be requested to confirm or deny the value of a piece of jewelry or a gem years after its purchase, or in a dispute, whether judicial or extrajudicial, to establish the terms of compensation or fraud.
